Builders Arms Hotel Molly Rose Amber Ale

Throughout winter 2023 we were pouring our amber ale, brewed with local Collingwood legends, Molly Rose Brewing. Based on Wellington Street, they brew all of their beers within a couple of kilometres of us. It came from a desire to create an iconic ale that truly represents what we do: referencing tradition within the context of a modern, historic public house. We could think of no better time to start pouring this beer than in June, in celebration of Drink Victorian with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.

Together with head brewer, Nic Sandery, we took inspiration from traditional British beer styles to create our own take on a refreshing amber ale. Citra hops were used to lift what was already a wonderfully wintery and malty beer with hints of lime peel, grapefruit and tangerine.
